If competition is your thing or if you want to test your skills in the 'arena', there is plenty of opportunities for you to do just that, both in-house  and out of town. We encourage you to get involved and make this great sport an integral part of your life.
In-House
In-House competition are matches or tournaments played in our club. The Ottawa Table Tennis Club offers many opportunities for competition from beginner/intermediate to advanced levels.

Once a member however, there is an opportunity to register to play in the National Capital Region Table Tennis League (NCRTTL), which is our house league and register for our Monthly Daytime Tournament for the chance to win a handmade trophy! You will also want to keep an eye out for other seasonal tournaments which we announce as they come up, typically a couple of times per year. There are two types of matches or tournaments that we play; unsanctioned and sanctioned.

Unsanctioned
These are recreational matches for fun and practice. The following are regularly scheduled unsanctioned matches at OTTC: Weekend Group Practice Matches, Monthly Daytime Tournament.
Sanctioned
These are official matches that will determine a player's point rating by Table Tennis Canada (TTCan). So, when players play in matches or tournaments overseen by official table tennis bodies such as the Ontario Table Tennis Association (OTTA), the Fédération de tennis de table du Québec, where we regularly play in the Circuit Québécois, the players receive points based on their performance, which is reported to TTCan. An example of an OTTC sanctioned match is our House League, the National Capital Region Table Tennis League (NCRTTL).

All levels are welcome to participate in the action and even attend to watch and support friends and fellow members.

There are also regular competitions in Toronto that are open for play.
