The National Capital Region Table Tennis League is back after a 10 year absence. It is a sanctioned league by the Ontario Table Tennis Association (1 star). We will play on Sunday afternoons and evenings. A detailed schedule will be provided for your team.
FORMAT: CORBILLON CUP
All players abide by the ITTF rules of table tennis.
Divisions: A, B and C, D (based on the total ratings of the best 2 players of your team, including your subs).
Venue: Ottawa Table Tennis Club, 18 Louisa St Gym 240.
Time slots: Sundays from 3:30pm to 5:30pm and 6:30pm to 8:30pm. A detailed schedule will be provided.
Entry Fee: $275 + HST per team + $18 per player (HST included) EARLY BIRD! $225 + HST per team (until September 15, 2019)
Format: two round robins + Playoffs
How to register? In person at the Ottawa Table Tennis Club or online.
PRIZE MONEY for Division A:
1st place = $750
2nd place = $300
3rd place = $150

DATES: (you have 10 Sundays to complete 5 team matches on a flexible schedule. Each Sunday has two times slots : 3:30pm and 6:30pm)
Round Robin # 1 : October 6, 2019- January 12, 2020 (break between December 16 and January 4) January 12 is a pick up day

Round Robin # 2 : January 19 - March 29 2020 (no matches presently on schedule for March 8, 2020)
PLAYOFFS : April 5 to May 3, 2020 (no matches on schedule for April 12, 2020)
*** The schedule will be flexible. The captains can contact each other to reschedule a match. You MUST let the organizers know about any changes in the schedule.

DOUBLES (A/B or C vs X/Y or Z)

All five matches will be played. Only single matches will be rated.
All matches are best of 5 and in accordance with ITTF rules.
Captain selects Player A or B (or X or Y).
For the Doubles, Player A(X) OR Player B (Y) can be paired with Player C (Z).
All matches start promptly according to the provided schedule.
DHS D40 3 star ball.
Each team will consist of a maximum of 3 players. Two or three players can play the team matches. We will determine the level by using the total rating of the best two players. Only ONE player can have a rating of 2000 or more in each team.
Substitutes: We allow the third player to be substituted with an equal level player or below (less than 150 rating points difference) A substitute can only sub for one team in the playoffs stage.
Registration times: Registration will be closed on September 15 at 11:59pm.
Finding a partner: We can put players on a list upon receipt of $18 player fee.
