Stéphane Charbonneau — with over 40 years playing competitive table tennis in Canada, Stéphane is one of our most experienced players. In the 1980s, he was ranked ninth overall for men in Canada and sixth overall for men in Ontario. He continues to compete, most recently reaching the semi-finals in a Québec Circuit #3 tournament in 2016. Stephane brings genuine passion, enthusiasm and a strong competitive nature to the table—literally—and loves coaching what he calls “the world’s best sport.”

Steve Lambruschini (OTTC Founder) — Like many of us, Steve grew up with a ping-pong table in the basement of his house. By 2007, he was a member of the Scarborough Kings Table Tennis Club and Canadian-Chinese Table Tennis Association in Toronto. In 2010, he moved to Ottawa where he jumped into table tennis as both a vocation (he found employment at Table Tennis Canada) and an avocation (he organized local tournaments at the National Table Tennis Training Centre). Several years of working closely with the National Team helped to shape Steve's understanding of the fundamentals of table tennis—proper technique, controlling spin and game strategy—something he looks forward to passing on to new players at OTTC.
